Brian Allmond is an Assistant Band Director at Terry High School in his first year of teaching. He serves as the conductor of the Symphonic Band and assists with the Terry High School Marching Band and Color Guard. Mr. Allmond is a native of Austin, Texas and graduated from Connally High School in 2009. He recently graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree with honors from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. Before coming to Terry, Mr. Allmond spent the spring of 2014 student teaching at Dripping Springs High School. Mr. Allmond was a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps from Rockford, Illinois from 2009-2012, where he also served the role of mellophone section leader in 2012. He also has teaching experience in the DCI activity where he taught with the Phantom Regiment Visual Staff in 2014. During his undergraduate career, Mr. Allmond had the opportunity to be a part of the visual team with the Dripping Springs High School marching band from 2010-2013. He also had the opportunity to serve as drum major of the Bobcat Marching Band in 2011. During his time at Texas State, he was involved with organizations such as the Texas Music Educators Association and Phi Mu Alpha. He privately studied trumpet from Professor’s Jack Laumer and Robert Cannon. Mr. Allmond is also a huge sports fan and runner.
